Technical Artist (f/m/d)

We are looking for a Technical Artist to join us and work with one of our games, which are played by millions of players.

At Kolibri Games, we have a unique approach to development: we work in weekly sprints and release features/updates on a weekly basis. Your responsibilities include the creation of visual effects, implementation of UI and acting as the bridge between our development and art departments.

We’re looking for a passionate Technical Artist who will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment on Free to Play Mobile titles.

Responsibilities

  • Work within the Unity Engine to connect Game Logic to UI and Visual Feedback using C#
  • Design and implement high-quality user interfaces and visual effects
  • Monitor the game performance and optimise UI and Visual Effects in collaboration with the art and engineering department
  • Support the art department by writing tools and giving technical input into the art creation process
  • Rapidly prototype new features and designs

Required skills

  • Experience with Unity3d, especially UI and Visual Effects
  • Ability to work and deliver high quality results in a fast and agile work environment
  • Photoshop and/or Illustrator to create UI mockups
  • Software development experience in C# or other general purpose programming languages
  • Ability to quickly get up to speed with existing code, processes and patterns
  • Awareness of and ability to leverage industry best practices and solutions and apply the right solution for a given problem
  • Must be proactive, self-directed and organised

Desirable skills

  • Ability to write shaders
  • Wide understanding of different game technology areas (gameplay, graphics, tools etc.)
  • A passion for mobile games
  • Familiarity with reactive programming and dependency injection frameworks, like UniRx or Zenject
  • Experience working with Spine Animations is a plus
  • Experience working with Unity’s Scriptable Rendering Pipelines and Shader Graph is a plus
