Head of Finance & Legal (f/m/d)

We are looking for someone to lead our Finance & Legal team. As a rapidly growing business within the Ubisoft Group this is a broad role that allows you to touch upon multiple areas of the business. The Head of Finance and Legal will be managing our finance and legal employees handling relevant topics, through liaising with external and parent company partners

This is an ideal role for someone with start-up experience, who thrives in an environment where people 'get things done', from helping build out processes, working with senior management to mentoring and training our teams.

Responsibilities

  • High level overview of the company's Financial position
  • Working with senior management and provide them with strategic advice to ensure overall achievement of the financial objectives for the organisation
  • Handling all Kolibri company legal matters and working with external legal teams to ensure matters are handled effectively
  • Collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders to identify/ propose process improvements and drive efficiencies
  • Improvement of accounting process & closing deadlines
  • Ensure monthly parent company reporting is accurate and timely and providing relevant analysis on the monthly performance
  • Monthly analysis of game performance & KPIs (eg DAU, ARPDAU, Retention CPI, Marketing ROI)
  • Ensure consistency between accounting and group reporting
  • Collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders to identify/ propose process improvements and drive efficiencies
  • Stay informed of any German/Berlin government grant initiatives and drive the initiatives
  • Work in close collaboration with our Parent Company in Paris

Required skills

  • Detailed, structured and careful way of working with high personal initiative
  • Significant experience of financial planning and reporting as well as compliance and legal systems in a fast growing company
  • Prior experience leading high performing teams
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Flexible, reliable, communicative, open to new ideas
  • Excellent German and English language skills are essential
  • Knowledge of the principles German GAAP and IFRS and the application of commercial law
  • In depth knowledge of Data Privacy e.g. GDPR and CCPA

Desirable skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a business related field or MBA
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Ability to think strategically and to solve problems
  • Previous leading role in a mobile gaming company
  • Knowledge of French is highly desirable
