Klang is looking for a Senior Game Designer (f/m/d) who embraces the possibility to have impact in many areas of the design process and is looking to join a world-class team exploring the unknown to bring an ambitious, yet carefully calculated vision and dream to life. SEED will build community and collaboration through its design and your impact will harmonize teams to ensure our vision for this game is well-articulated, leans with curiosity, while being grounded in a scalable process.

What you will do:

  • Support feature teams as a non-exclusive member, working with designers and stakeholders to build design briefs, innovate on processes, and ensure that SEED’s tone and vision is represented throughout the design process
  • As one of SEED’s visionary ambassadors, you will work across teams, defining and escalating risks and challenges to key stakeholders while also working with Designers and others to explore design opportunities
  • Own the evolution and implementation of our user research data to ensure an iterative design process based on our player communities
  • Drive meaningful discussions across multidisciplinary teams (as well as with our Creative Leads) that will continue to develop the script for SEED’s vision
  • Create clear and concise design documents that fit into the game’s vision

Who we think will be a great fit:

  • You have 4+ years experience as a professional game designer
  • You have had impact as a game designer early in the design process, working with stakeholders to define the overarching experience of the game
  • You worked on at least 1 live operated game and are familiar with the processes and development of MMOs
  • You have a great understanding of designing emotion through gameplay and what incentivises player behaviour
  • You are enthusiastic about game design processes and methodology
  • You are experienced working in an agile development environment
  • You have great communication skills and ability to work effectively with others
  • Passion for gaming, preferably multiplayer, sandbox and simulation games

Bonus:

  • Keen interest for/background in sociology/psychology/political sciences
  • Knowledge of Unity
  • Paper prototyping experience
  • Familiarity with utility based AI systems
  • Experience in designing/maintaining monetization systems
