We’re looking for an Engineering Manager (f/m/d) with a technical background to support and coach our engineers and help drive technical initiatives that improve our engineering practices.

Engineers work in feature focused teams. As an engineering manager, you would work with engineers across such teams, focusing on aligning engineering practices, personal performance, and career growth. In addition, you will help drive technical initiatives and shape the engineering culture at Klang. You will work closely with our Senior Engineering Manager and our CTO.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with individuals on a 1on1 level - help set personal and professional career growth goals
  • Help improving productivity by removing obstacles and keeping processes lean
  • Identify tension and issues within- or across teams - help resolve them.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide candid feedback on performance
  • Contribute to management best practices and engineering culture - help us become the best place for engineers to work
  • Facilitate mentoring within the engineering discipline - both personal and across teams.
  • Work closely with our recruiting team in growing the team - figuring out growth needs with team leads and management.
  • Work closely with the CTO, Senior Engineering Manager and Senior Engineers in driving technical initiatives - improving our engineering practices
  • Develop and track key metrics for quality and team performance, drive their improvement over time, and communicate their status
