Job Description:

Your role within our Kingdom

We are looking for an amazing QA Lead with strong people skills and the ability to guide, coach and develop a team of QA Specialists, whilst building a strong working relationship with everyone. We want to provide a safe environment for self- growth, which supports personal goal setting and offers constructive feedback, helping the team get the best out of their career through mentorship and training.

You will develop and train King's highly skilled QA team to deliver QA best practices and testing, so having a QA background is important. You’ll help with hiring, retention, onboarding new staff, helping to run performance reviews and identifying any performance issues in the teams preventing them from reaching their best outcomes.

You will also be a part of our QA leadership team in Barcelona, helping to move our strategy forward, and continuously evolving the Central QA services we provide to our games.

Core responsibilities:

  • Line manage, mentor and coach your team to improve their efficiency so that they become more productive over time
  • Analyze our different testing service processes and identify solutions where required
  • Hold 1- to- 1 meetings with every team member where performance, goals, career development and even personal subjects are addressed
  • Work closely with all stakeholders ensuring your team has all the information needed, and the testing results are properly delivered
  • Work closely with our Central QA team to make best use of available resources to meet the testing demand from across King
  • Make sure your team has the resources they need to get their job done
  • Ensure that the end- of- testing reports cover stakeholders information needs
  • Deliver quality with a good pace and maintain a proper balance between speed and quality
  • Focus on creating strong awareness of why team development and dynamics are important to long- term success. You help teams recognize what is healthy and unhealthy in their dynamics and how to try new approaches or adjustments
  • When conflict arises, you help the team identify root causes rather than symptoms, and seek to find the win- win or overlapping goals and conditions when mediating

Skills to create thrills

  • Ability to create strong working relationships with peers and being comfortable leading a team of 10 to 15 highly skilled people
  • Practical experience in hiring and training new QA Specialists ensuring that they understand their roles and alignment with the company objectives
  • Extended knowledge of Regression, Exploratory and Performance testing processes
  • People- oriented, knowing how to motivate team members to achieve the highest levels of performance
  • Excellent communication skills, including English fluency (both spoken and written)
