Job Description

You will be working as a Program Manager in the R&D department, at the pulsing hearth of innovation at King.

King R&D is a multidisciplinary organization of gaming professionals (e.g. designers, developers, UX researchers, data scientists, artists, producers, business managers, etc) who work together to push the boundaries of innovation for King and for the videogame industry.

You will work within the Strategy team - helping to plan and execute strategic initiatives across a broad range of areas (product, business model and operations).

Your Role Within our Kingdom

Working with such an amazing and diverse team, you will be the guardian of innovation execution at King: you will oversee all strategic R&D initiatives from conceptualization through implementation under the guidance of R&D seniorleadership and functional leads. More specifically you will:

  • Monitor and coordinate the execution of each strategic project you are following, making sure that all milestones / project goals are met and all actors involved are aligned, including R&D teams, R&D leadership and King stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and blockers by collaborating closely with all R&D leads and King key stakeholders. You will be able to support R&D in any pertinent area of King business & products, becoming the go- to person to handle any project inquiries or issues within the R&D org.
  • Provide continuous project management and administrative support on each project you are coordinating, facilitating communication (including meetings management) and operations with all crafts involved (including creatives, technical and managerial staff).
  • Produce outstanding reporting material, always providing full visibility inside and outside R&D about the status and progress of all strategic initiatives taking place in R&D.
  • Support the R&D studio in setting the right priorities & the right investment strategy based on your knowledge and visibility on the organization’s innovation portfolio.
  • Work to improve the internal processes and rituals of the R&D studio, helping all teams to work together effectively and making sure that we, as a group, deliver on expectations.

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or other management related fields.
  • Extensive working experience as a Project manager - or as a management consultant involved in PMO projects and / or execution of large transformation programs.
  • Track record in executing strategic initiatives: you have proven experience at coordinating multiple teams and departments, anticipating and solving project issues / blockers and dealing with different stakeholders and executives.
  • Talent for building strong professional relationships and managing conflicts: your influencing and interpersonal skills should stand out from the crowd.
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skill: you craft expectational presentations and reports, giving visibility and clarity to everyone involved in the projects you are coordinating.
  • Real passion for innovation and for videogames.
  • Curious and inquisitive attitude combined with solid business acumen.

Bonus Points

  • Extensive experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Relevant project management accreditation (e.g. PMP).
  • Proficiency with key PM and PPM tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Monday)
  • Prior experience in an industry with short implementation and iteration cycles - if not games, then e- commerce or online products /services.
