Your role within our Kingdom

You will be responsible for leading a small IT Support team in London. You will report into the Global IT Support Manager and work closely with a team of leads dispersed throughout Europe and US to improve and standardise the IT services delivered to the employees of King. You are highly technical and an expert working within environments where Windows, Mac OSX and Linux co- exist in harmony. You will have commercial experience working in a fast- growing company within an IT Support Function. You will also:

  • Manage the coaching, development and performance of the IT Support Engineers reporting into you. This includes everything from hiring to delivering performance reviews
  • Provide end- user support for hardware, applications, and systems such as: MS Office, MDM, King’s chosen SaaS, VPN, mobile phones
  • Work with all the normal IT support tools including but not limited to: Active Directory, Exchange/Office 365, antivirus, imaging, disk encryption
  • Ensure joiner and leaver IT requirements are managed correctly
  • Manage the IT assets through their entire lifecycle from acquisition to disposal
  • Gather and translate user expectations to technical solutions
  • Create and update documentation using a wiki
  • Mentor customers and deliver end user training
  • Manage the priorities and day to day work of your IT Support team
  • Lead small projects that will utilise support members from other offices
  • Managing the IT Support ticket queue to ensure SLAs are achieved locally and on a global scale

Skills to create thrills

  • Experience leading a team of support engineers as well as extensive experience in hardware installation and troubleshooting of PCs and Macs. This includes working with hard drives, motherboards, CPUs, PSUs, GPUs, soundcards, monitors etc.
  • Customer service- oriented team player with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and make quick decisions with limited information
  • Knowledge of multiple operating systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Microsoft Office suite
  • A good grasp of modern IT Security principles
  • ITIL Version 3/4 experience a bonus skill
  • Basic understand of networking (routing, DNS, DHCP, etc)
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Excellent written and spoken English
