We are looking for an experienced cloud architect to lead GCP migration of Unified Platform(UP) where King teams build, monitor, grow and monetize some of the most popular mobile games in the world such as Candy Crush Saga. The platform contains a suite of software products designed to provide a central, high- quality, robust and extensible toolset with a consistent and stable user experience.
The Unified Platform Foundation (UPF) team aims to provide a competitive technical ecosystem that allows internal teams to easily build and deliver scalable applications without the need of worrying about the infrastructure. Currently we are extending our on- premise infrastructure to GCP with built- in hybrid cloud interconnectivity, which aims to pave the road for other teams who migrate their workload to GCP.
Your role within our KingdomYour Responsibilities Might IncludeAs a member of the UPF team, you will play an important role in leading our GCP migration taskforce and powering other teams to leverage latest cloud technologies.
- Design and implement hybrid cloud platform in the short team and native cloud platform in the medium term for UP
- Work with stakeholders on cloud architectural governance and management for applications hosted in UP k8s cluster
- Support and educate teams migrating to UP k8s cluster
- Maintain and upgrade UP clusters and the tooling associated
- Keep evolving UP clusters to meet the technical requirements from teams migrating to it
- Evaluate existing cloud native framework / tools in the market and advise on the evolution of King's internal framtework/tools
- Represent King collaborating with other cloud native users in Cloud Native Community Foundation (CNCF)
Skills to create thrills
- Experience planning and migrating existing workloads to GCP/AWS/Azure with infrastructure as code and automated deployments approach
- Experience designing hybrid and native cloud infrastructure architectures
- Solid experience with cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Terraform
- Good understanding of GCP services
- Good understanding of networking and security
- Ability to drive decisions across different units of the organisation with excellent communication skills
