Intro

If this sounds like you then Volta has an opening for 3D rendering artist who would be responsible for the creation of high-level marketing images on various AAA projects that are both in development and have been released to the general public.

Who You Are

  • An experienced artist who can show us a high level portfolio or demo reel
  • Have a proven ability with the rendering workflow and good knowledge of the compositing/postproduction process
  • Experienced in working with 3dsmax and/or Maya
  • Have the ability to work in offline rendering softwares such as Vray, Arnold, and/or Corona
  • Any knowledge of Zbrush, Photoshop, Substance, and Marmoset would be considered a big plus
  • Have a keen eye for cinematography (lighting, composition, colour)
  • Creative and able to adapt to different graphic styles
  • Have experience in working as part of a team, have a strong attention to detail and be able to demonstrate autonomy, resourcefulness and proactivity in your work

Daily Tasks

  • Create complex and compelling texturing and shading work, including the use of procedural surfacing and displacement mapping techniques
  • Work within precise PBR guidelines or come up with custom stylized shading solutions
  • Enhance game assets to a cinematic level
  • Light and render shots that fit the visual content provided by our team of concept artists to completion
  • Work effectively within the technical constraints of a given project
  • Show great problem-solving skills and address creative and technical issues as they arise
  • Collaborate closely with artists, art directors and management to ensure high artistic quality of all work produced
  • Determine and respect deadlines established with the production department

Requirements

  • College or university education prefered in arts, 3D, multimedia or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in film, video game or visualization the industry on AAA projects
