For this role, we'd love our next team member to have experience playing past and current skateboarding video games.

We are hiring for a variety of roles on our Development Support teams. Development support staff are responsible for communicating with development partners and creating test plans to locate issues and ensure that the product meets the expectations of the product owner. Typically, day-to-day tasks can include game testing, bug database maintenance, reporting and attending meetings/scrums.

Requirements

  • Previous experience playing skateboarding-focused video games

  • A focus Skate Gameplay mechanics and physics is a nice to have - Previous QA experience - Outgoing and ability to work with multiple partners

  • Professional QA experience with proven ownership of one of more test areas/releases

  • Education, knowledge or experience in an advanced technical area of knowledge (e.g. white-box testing, automation, analytics, animation etc.) as well as proficiency with advanced testing tools (external/internal)

  • Subject matter feature ownership and experience providing subject matter knowledge to improve overall quality and processes

  • Ability to coordinate between difference feature areas as well as development partners

Bonuses:

  • Experience documenting QA methods

  • Knowledge of test planning, writing test scripts, test cases, and test briefs

  • Project progress tracking and reporting

Daily/weekly tasks

Your tasks will range depending on your knowledge and assessed level. Some of your responsibilities might include:

  • Assessing and improving game play mechanics

  • Maintain the Quality Assurance pipeline from discovery through a fix to regression verification

  • Create and follow Test Plans and Verifications.

  • Provide Qualitative feedback regarding the product.

  • Maintain Bug Database in JIRA or DevTrack

  • Translate test plans to TestRail. Find and report bugs/issues to Development.

  • Find and report bugs/issues to Development. Maintain the Quality Assurance pipeline from discovery through a fix to regression verification

  • Dev QA POC for outsource QA groups, internal QA and Development teams

  • Lead improvements in the wider QA processes, project planning and develop new QA strategies

  • Provide regular game area level QA reports (e.g. high-level risk assessment)

  • Maintain documentation to transfer knowledge and provide mentorship to newer team members

  • Work in close partnership with development and production teams

  • Use in-depth knowledge of you feature to drive automation, test tools and possible telemetry hooks to more efficiently verify their area

  • Continually contribute towards the refinement and improvement of the QA methods. May contribute to adjustments of automation scripts

  • Responsible for one or more test areas and features/release (POC for multiple features and releases)
