COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

Keywords is an international technical service provider to the global Video Game Industry with 50+ offices across 20 countries and 4 continents.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of projects successfully within budget, timeframe, and quality scopes. Developing and managing successful relationships with Keywords Studios clients. Managing, leading, motivating, coaching, and training local FQA Test Leads. Planning, applying, and adapting project test strategies with the support of the FQA Test Leads. Inspire local team to maintain peak efficiency.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is not an exhaustive list of functions, responsibilities may vary dependent on the need of the role and changing business environment.

  • The delivery of projects to the highest possible specified quality standards according to schedules and budgets agreed.
  • Creating and executing project test plans.
  • Communicating regularly and professionally with external clients ensuring that their needs are met and answer any queries or concerns that arise.
  • Tracking and reporting project status to FQA Management frequently, timely, and accurately.
  • Ensuring that the team is effective, motivated, and working in an environment in which they can be as productive as possible.
  • Communicating and coordinating with clients and other areas in the organization to ensure that the team has all the tools necessary to perform optimally
  • Leading by example, initiative, and behaving in accordance with the core Keywords values.
  • Evaluation and feedback responsibilities.
  • Providing both positive recognition and warnings appropriately.
  • Managing multiple projects at the same time.
  • Managing and lead client interactions and meetings.
  • Responsible for client account management..
  • Participate in and lead proposal efforts where necessary, including completing project scoping.
  • Set and manage client expectations appropriately.
  • Be able to find solutions to client requests when possible.
  • Be able to decline client requests in an appropriate manner when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Track and manage project budgets.
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing
  • Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and realization.
  • Report project statuses and information to the management team on a regular basis.
  • Communicate employee warnings and actions taken to Human Resources.
  • Strong leadership skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Accountable and responsible.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in English – written and spoken
  • Relevant experience in QA.
  • Relevant experience in a Management or similar role in the Video Games or related industry.
  • Understanding of a bug’s life cycle and workflow within a defect tracking database.
  • Testing and risk management analysis.
  • Strong, responsible, leadership skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Agile, and flexible to change.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in fast pace environments.
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and analytical with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Experience working within MS Office.
  • Our Office is located in Mexico City

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Formal education in Project Management or equivalent experience
  • Formal education in Video Game development, similar, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

This role will begin as a Work From Home position, but once COVID restrictions are lifted, it will transition to being completely on-Site in the Mexico City, Mexico studio.
