The HR Generalist is a key member of the HR function, which will report to the HR Manager. The HR Generalist manages all people related activities including HR operations, recruitment, employee engagement and employee communications. The HR Generalist, within the team, will work with the business in Berlin & Hamburg. The HR Generalist will support key projects in performance management, recruitment, implementation of policies and all other HR related topics.
Duties & Responsabilities
- Support the HR Manager in management of daily operational processes of the HR department.
- Manage recruitment processes.
- Review, maintain and apply procedures and policies for compliance with local labour legislation.
- Manage onboarding of new employees.
- Participate in process improvement projects.
- Assist in the execution of the payroll, social security, and taxes.
- Maintain HR employee databases.
- Cooperate with the HR Manager in the implementation of global projects.
We are offering a temporary role of 1 year, as a part-time job (20h per week on 5 days/week).
Requirements
Technical Skills
- Degree in Economics, Psychology, or another relevant degree
- At least 3 – 4 years experience in the HR department in multinational companies working in services
- Advanced knowledge of local employment law (Germany)
- German mother tongue
- Excellent English both written and verbal
- Knowledge of Spanish would be a plus
- Strong knowledge of Office (Excel in particular)
