This position will support the development and marketing departments by designing and developing user interfaces and web experiences for e-commerce initiatives, in addition to editing and creating web content as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Design and develop responsive interfaces and layouts for Jinx.com and branded partner sites.
  • Interpret and adhere to strict branding guidelines for multiple licensed partners.
  • Create and edit content for use on the web, including raster and vector images, photos, logos, video, and web fonts.
  • Maintain J!NX web component design guide.
  • Present designs and communicate intention to both internal and external stakeholders for approval.
  • Continually analyze UI/UX to improve flow, engagement, and usability.
  • Stay up-to-date on digital design & front-end development trends and technologies.
  • Implement, maintain, and analyze Google Analytics interaction/event tracking to help drive informed design decisions.
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant design discipline, web development, or equivalent business experience.
  • 2+ years designing and developing web pages with HTML, CSS, and JS.
  • Proficient with a CSS preprocessor, such as SASS or LESS.
  • Comfortable with mobile-first responsive design and implementation.
  • Experience with a front-end responsive framework such as Foundation or Bootstrap.
  • Proficient building functional UI components with Javascript.
  • Experience with a front-end Javascript framework such as Angular or React.
  • Proficient using the Adobe suite of apps to create and edit digital content for the web - including web graphics, svgs, and video.
  • Strong understanding of industry best practices in digital design and front-end development.

BONUS POINTS

  • Enthusiasm for video games and geek culture is a plus!
  • Experience using collaborative project management software, such as Trello, Basecamp, or Monday.
  • Experience with source control software.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENT DEMANDS

  • Must be able to work in a seated or standing position for up to and over 8 hours per day.
  • Extensive use of a mouse and keyboard.
  • Extended viewing of a computer screen.
