Jam City Bogota is seeking a talented Software Engineering Intern to join our game development studio team in Bogotá for our Summer 2021 Internship Program. We are currently building some awesome new experiences with Unity and C#, and we need an inspired, proactive and disciplined student who is willing to learn a lot about game development while working with our seasoned team. Internship Program Qualifications (Colombia):

  • Must be currently enrolled in a university program in Colombia and able to intern remotely through late-August 2021
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Colombia during the Summer 2021 session. Sponsorship is not available for our internship positions.
  • Be able to work on a part-time basis (up to 30 hours per week)
  • Fluent English & Spanish Preferred

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Partner with our game engineering team to create tools and tests that improve the overall efficiency of the team and the overall quality of the codebase.
  • Use development and engineering skills to effectively detect issues in the existing codebase and propose fixes with the team
  • Help to detect performance bottlenecks in the existing codebase by using performance profiling tools.-
  • Participate in an agile environment, keeping the team aware of your progress
  • Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a friendly and supportive remote environment
  • Learning, growing, and enjoying the experience!

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a college program in Colombia (students only, no graduates)
  • Be able to work on a part-time basis (up to 30 hours per week)
  • Passionate about games and game programming.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of game engines and object-oriented design.
  • Experience with C#
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly incorporate feedback, and to ask clarifying questions when uncertainties arise
  • A lot of discipline, curiosity, and desire to learn, grow and contribute.

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Familiarity with Git
  • Familiarity Unity
  • Familiarity with ECS

About Jam City's Internship Program:

Jam City’s Summer 2021 Digital Internship Program will take place from June 14th - August 27, 2021 and will be entirely remote. Students can expect a paid, part-time (25-30 hours per week) internship working alongside Jam City’s business and studio development teams. Within internships, students gain valuable insights into our products, players, and industry. Our program allows students to work on impactful projects, collaborate with industry professionals, and develop problem solving skills through real hands on experiences. We’re looking for students that bring curiosity, creativity, and an interest in mobile games.
