We’re on the hunt for innovators who consider themselves dynamic, collaborative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a QA Manager, you will be managing a team of QA Testers, both internally and externally, and also working closely with a team of passionate makers focused on delivering bug-free mobile games to our players.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all QA needs for multiple mobile free-to-play games at the Burbank studio.
  • Ensure that all software products meet established high quality levels.
  • Direct the work of multiple QA teams in multiple time zones to ensure all testing needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Provide approvals across all titles and releases coming out of the Burbank Studio.
  • Keep all testers up-to-date on changes regarding priorities and schedule, and provide guidance and direction whenever priorities shift.
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative reports to the team, including workflow issues & blockers.
  • Create and maintain constant communication and healthy working relationships between QA, game, and support teams.
  • Write, execute, and review test plans to ensure full testing coverage.
  • Lead brainstorms teams to continually improve testing processes.
  • Directly manage 3-5 QA Analysts - provide studio QA resource plans; build, train and mentor studio QA staff.
  • Provide game and studio leadership with metrics and reports regarding the quality of testing work.
  • Keep all relevant testing documentation up to date and available to all testers.
  • Review, edit, and triage bugs throughout the entirety of the development cycle.
  • Create test plans to assist localization test teams.
  • Assist Marketing team with in-game asset capture.
  • Support the Customer Service and Community teams with any bugs or issues live players report.
  • Track and manage budget for outsourced QA teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years experience in mobile QA testing with at least 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking software (Jira, Unfuddle, Bugzilla, etc.) and software development tools (ex. Xcode).
  • Knowledge of the Apple and Android family of mobile devices.
  • Must be detail oriented, well-organized with an ability to multi-task.
  • Familiarity with standard practices and procedures in the mobile QA field.
  • Proactive, results oriented, self starter with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Team player with good people skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Pragmatic: making games is complex; able to prioritize and focus when everything is high priority.
  • Sense of humor and optimistic approach.
  • Flexible and able to creatively solve problems.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, team environment.
  • Affinity for Disney/Pixar is a plus.
  • Passion for video games is a must!
