The Role
A Producer at Jam City is responsible for managing a team’s Sprint, ensuring that the Game Team delivers on its commitments in a consistent manner. He/She masters Agile and Project Management best practices and is versed at implementing them.
He/She will organize a cross-functional team of Designers, Artists, Engineers, and Product Managers; driving the production lifecycle of a casual, mobile, free-to-play game. Under these circumstances he or she will set up a production plan that ensures internal and external game development resources effectively hit project goals.
The candidate must keep teams motivated while ensuring an on-schedule and on-budget delivery.
Responsibilities
Leadership
- Constantly strive to improve processes, teams, and the final game product even in the face of adversity and challenges.
- Organize, support, and optimize the team; knocking down obstacles before the team hits them.
- Challenge the status quo and offer solutions for improvements.

- Set the tone for the team to ensure high productivity and morale: engagement, enthusiasm, professionalism and a strong work ethic.
- Build trust with relevant teams and stakeholders and obtain necessary approvals, as needed.
Production Management and Communication
- Proactively drive production workflows, prioritize and track sprint goals and ensure on-schedule deliveries.
- Manage product deliverables, milestone reviews, internal and external communication.
- Facilitate content and feature planning and backlog grooming.
- Communicate project status effectively with other key stakeholders like Marketing, Customer Service, and Studio Leadership.
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in a scrum master / project management role, ideally within the games industry, orchestrating work for internal and external game teams.
- Ability to balance project demands with creative essentials. You demand quality; creativity and fun while still managing project resources and timelines.
- Solid project management foundation across various methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and deep understanding of how games get made.
- Proactive, results oriented, self-starter, with strong sense of ownership, accountability and urgency.
- Strong organizational skills and passion for managing details.
- Calm and deliberate performance under pressure and strict deadlines in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Team player with good people skills – able to communicate and influence up, down and across the organization.
- Pragmatic: making games is complex, able to prioritize and focus when everything is a priority.
- Proficient at various production tools: Confluence, Jira, G-Suite, Keynote, etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication and collaboration skills.
