The Manager, People Partners is responsible for acting as an advisor to Jam City’s leaders and an advocate for employees, aligning company strategic objectives to individual initiatives. This position will be responsible for supporting assigned client groups in creating and executing on a people strategy aligned with business goals by working alongside business leaders, bringing together people expertise with knowledge of Jam City’s business to create and execute on a people strategy that proactively grows, develops and engages talent.

Responsibilities

  • Develops a deep understanding of Jam City’s business goals building a strong consultative relationship with client groups.
  • Provides proactive and strategic, analytical guidance and support for organizational planning and development initiatives that align the people agenda in support of key business strategies and initiatives in client groups.
  • Drives Engagement and Retention – identify areas of opportunity to drive engagement within the business areas being supported as well as developing strategies and plans to mitigate risk of key talent.
  • Advises leaders on performance related issues pertaining to their teams.
  • Coaches line managers on how to handle delicate employee relations situations.
  • Assists client groups with workforce planning and onboarding new hires.
  • Partners with People colleagues to develop and implement specific programs directly aligned to business strategy including total rewards & recognition, training & development, performance management, employee experience, and DEI.
  • Coaches business leaders on talent management program strategies and tactics to promote engagement and retention.
  • Embodies the Jam City culture through behavior and interactions.
  • Keeps abreast of HR trends/practices and legislation.
  • Manages special projects as assigned.
  • May participate in acquisition due diligence and integration phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a business-related field; software gaming experience a plus; SPHR/SHRM-SCP a plus
  • 8+ years in an HR related position (i.e. - HR Manager, Analytics, Operations, etc.)
  • Ability to provide HR consultation to managers and employees on issues including employee relations, compensation, HR policies, and performance management
  • Highly developed skills in influencing and navigating complex issues
  • Ability to work effectively across teams, foster inclusivity and focus on relationship building
  • Sound judgment, business acumen and the ability to contribute to the business as a whole
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to simplify complex concepts and messages and deliver effectively to a wide range of audience
