Jam City Bogotá is looking for a full-time Assistant Editor to create compelling marketing video advertisements for our mobile game titles across major social and ad publishing networks. You will be responsible for creating compelling game capture using proprietary in-game engines and debugs, as well as contributing to the staging of narrative scenes in 3D environments using in-game assets. You have a good knack for editing and storytelling in video with a cinematographer’s eye for game capture. You are a technical problem solver with the ability to improve the creative & technical processes and speak up when you see areas of opportunity that will help benefit yourself and the wider team.

** In order to be considered, you MUST provide either a link to an online portfolio/demo reel or website showcasing recent video work upon application.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Create video capture and screenshots from in-game engines and debug builds.
  • Assist MGFX Artists and Editors including editing game capture for marketing videos.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of Jam Citizens including the game development team, marketing teams, including editors, producers, MGFX artists, Creative Directors, social media community managers.
  • Organize, archive, and share assets across creative marketing teams and partners.
  • Attend marketing meetings and game team meetings to stay up to date on new game features as well as UA needs, bridging the gap between game and creative teams.
  • Advise on new debug build features that will result in improved game capture.
  • Find solutions to game development technical issues.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Must include a portfolio of work demonstrating your breadth of skill and specific information on what your individual project contributions were.
  • 3-5 years of industry experience specifically within gameplay capture, machine room, edit assist or an editorial department. This could be with a marketing agency, mobile gaming company or related creative studio environment.
  • English & Spanish language mastery
  • Working knowledge of the Apple iOS and Android operating systems.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proven experience with rendering in 3D software packages such as Maya, 3DMax, etc.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to take and deliver constructive feedback.
  • Able to collaborate on projects in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong eye for quality and acute attention to detail.
  • Passionate about mobile games and technology.
  • Proficiency in Unity 3D a big plus!
