**In order to be considered, you MUST provide us with a Demo Reel with examples of your most current animation work. Along with your reel you should provide a shot breakdown with an explanation of responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain, and create high-quality animation for real-time 3D game assets. This includes anything from short loops and locomotion cycles to full-blown cinematics with camera and character/creature animation.
- Work with fellow artists and engineers to implement animation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 3 years of experience animating characters using Maya or equivalent 3D program.
- Exceptional skill in 3D character animation, animating bipedal, humanoid figures as well as other organic forms.
- Strong understanding of traditional animation principles and how they can be used to establish character personality and enhance overall gameplay.
- Self-motivated, excellent communicator, and a great team-player attitude.
- Technical experience working with Maya and game engines such as Unity or Unreal.
- Expertly apply basic animation principles to in-game animation: timing, acting, & body mechanics.
- Capable of giving feedback & mentoring animators (both in-house and outsource as needed).
- Proven problem-solving and prototyping ability, collaborating within the animation team and across adjacent teams.
NICE TO HAVE
- Have shipped AAA and/or mobile games as a 3D character animator.
- Outstanding 2D animation skills.
- TV or film animation experience.
- A passion for video games.
- Experience in FX or particle animation.
- Skill in one or more related disciplines – illustration, modeling, rigging or technical art.
