Job Purpose:

The Technical Architect will play a key role in our technology team to drive and shape our technology landscape with an overarching aim to introduce a best-in-class technology. Leading the architecture initiatives, this role will assess the current technology state and review our future aims by working with teams technically on execution and delivery through coaching, assessments, and tools. This role will work across the Studio and will focus on the following areas: Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, Engineering and Data.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating/partnering with technology leadership and staff across the business and technology to continuously improve our technology and experience across the enterprise.
  • Incorporate the aspects of Security, Availability, Performance, and User Experience in all your designs while improving and maintaining the existing designs.
  • Work with engineering teams to design and implement scalable, reliable systems using good practices and cloud native architecture principles where applicable.
  • Create technology drawing that dovetail into our overall business strategy to business and technical requirements
  • Assist, test, and help to create Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan (BCDRP) ensuring targeted solutions meet the defined Recovery Time Objective (RTO)/ recovery Point Objective (RPO) requirements.
  • Quickly assess the current and future technology states related to the financial and gaming environment, to directly assist engineers, ensuring clarity and alignment across the wider org, to meet financial audit requirements
  • Assist defining and executing architecture processes such as the Architecture Review Board (ARB), Design reviews, Technical Debt registration, Design Pattern approvals and reporting.

  • Draw on technical and industry (gaming) expertise on how to multiply the effect of the overall business strategy

Technical Requirements:

  • Technical depth and breadth so you can bring together solutions - (security, network, linux, windows, datacenter architecture, cloud architecture, software development, and automation)
  • Expert in coaching staff on technical architecture
  • Expert knowledge in technical or enterprise architecture with relevant experience
  • Expert in technical aspects of game publishing as it pertains to game hosting, corporate IT, and platform development environments
  • Is passionate about security and knows how to balance cyber risk which aligns to the needs of the business
  • Experience in vendor management/negotiations
  • Experience with disaster recovery/business continuity plans
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with client/stakeholder/engineers – listening and providing answers
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to gather requirements and assimilate information and create architectural artifacts
  • Up to date knowledge of technical applications and infrastructure
  • Good knowledge of quality standards and best practice
