Your main focused will be assisting with tax compliance and advisory projects within our organisation. This includes the regular corporation tax returns, including Video Games Tax Relief and Patent Box, as well as number of larger ongoing and new tax projects.
To be successful you'll need to be organised, keeping track of a number of ongoing projects, tenacious and a good communicator.
What we're looking for:
Work with the Tax Manager and external advisors to deliver project-based work, actively managing and prioritising to ensure timely completion. Projects could include innovation relief claims such as Video Games Tax Relief, Patent box and Research and Development claims
Assist with the timely and accurate preparation, filing, and payment of all corporate tax returns, including UK as well as US federal, state, and international taxes
Assist with indirect tax matters such as VAT returns, and Global Sales Tax, including monitoring risks and exposures.
Assist with the statutory audit, including preparation of accurate tax provision calculations, tax- related financial disclosures, and compliance with tax reporting requirements under IFRS
Work with the Tax Manager and external advisors to ensure the company holds transfer pricing policies and documentation, in compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines
Assist with communications with tax authorities including tax audits, inquiries, and disputes. This may involve preparing and reviewing responses to tax notices and coordinate with external tax advisors and legal counsel as necessary.
Partner with internal stakeholders to increase the profile and understanding of tax compliance requirements and gather the necessary information for tax reporting
What we're looking for:
Knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations
Previous experience in a tax role in a corporate organisation would be beneficial
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex tax regulations to non-financial stakeholders
