Key Duties:
- You drive and own the execution of the online services and the resulting experience, ensuring a high level of quality.
- You can help create project roadmaps for OS client services, help plan sprints with their team, efficiently prioritizing work to make the best use of each team member's skills.
- You work closely with other disciplines to ensure designs and systems are ready in time for the gameplay and UI teams to integrate and are able to contribute to all aspects of live game service development.
Essential Skills:
- A solid background in online services development, you have implemented at least one online service (e.g. Xbox Live, PlayStation Network or other) for at least one commercial project.
- Experience in administrating the platform services to set up service backends for the clients to use; such as Leaderboards, Matchmaking, etc.
- Player-centered approach to living game service design, with solid knowledge of processes and methodologies.
- Thorough understanding of live game services operation and the ability to ensure a robust, maintainable release oriented service.
- Proven time management and organizational skills, you can help plan for the project at sprint-level and know how to prioritize your work for maximum impact.
- Comfortable working autonomously, you can get the job done without close supervision and make smart decisions with the information at hand.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, you can present ideas clearly and confidently to audiences of all experience levels.
- A real passion for online game services and evident enthusiasm for playing games.
- Unreal Engine 4 experience with integrating online services.
Desirable Skills:
- Shipped an online title using Unreal Engine 4.
- Previous experience in a senior role in game development.
- Direct experience in Xbox Live, PlayStation Network or Steam.
- Experience in live game service operations.
- Experience in DevOps.
