Job Purpose
Reporting to our Lead HRBP and working closely with our HR Advisor, HR Business Partners and L&D Lead, you will be an integral part of the HR team providing generalist support across a range of HR activities and will be the first point of contact for all employee matters.
This is an interesting role with varied work and you will have the opportunity to learn about many areas of HR in a friendly and talented team.
Key Duties Include:
- Be responsible for the administration of the employee lifecycle from drafting contracts and offers to processing leavers and completing references.
- Be the first point of contact for the HR team providing confidential HR advice, support and guidance.
- Provide HR support in relation to all aspects of employment, including advice on contracts, absence, maternity, disciplinary and grievances, starters and leavers, training and development.
- Maintain and update employee right to work documentation ensuring compliance with UK legislation.
- Provide administrative support for the onboarding process
- Prepare and deliver the new starter induction process, recommending updates and improvements where appropriate.
- Be responsible for reporting on absence, sharing insights with the HR Operations team and coaching managers on appropriate actions within their teams.
- Be responsible for carrying out DBS checks for relevant roles and maintaining up to date and accurate records of these.
- Take an active role in the internal promotion & awareness of employee benefits and administer benefits where relevant.
- Maintain all employee data and records ensuring they are accurate and kept up to date in a timely manner.
- Identify areas of improvement, opportunity and innovation and communicate these to relevant members of the team.
- Contribute to project work within the wider HR team.
Essential Requirements:
- Good levels of literacy and numeracy
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Good organisational & time-management skills
- Some administrative experience (desirable)
- Some HR experience (desirable)
