3D Character Artist:

At Iridium Studios, you'd be joining a small but dedicated group of game developers with a passion for role-playing games and complex, highly character-driven stories. As a gameplay engineer, you'd be the primary arbiter of the project, implementing features and integrating content in Unreal Engine 4. As cliche as it is, working well with others is paramount; work/life balance is emphasized, and we endeavor to ensure everyone contributes creatively.

Responsibilities:

  • Model and texture the main cast of a narrative-heavy RPG
  • Oversee and assist with modeling and texturing of creatures/monsters
  • Work with our art team to ensure a cohesive vision throughout the project and unify character and environment work

Requirements:

  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to Los Angeles, California
  • Must be proficient in Substance Painter, ZBrush, and Marvelous Designer
  • Has 2+ years experience as a 3D character artist
  • Is nice to people

Above and Beyond:

  • Has experience with importing and setting up characters within Unreal Engine 4
  • Has experience with the rigging process
  • Has experience with implementation of technical art, including VFX shader effects and particles

Compensation:

$60,000 - $80,000 USD annual

This is a full-time position with offices located in Los Angeles, California; remote work is also possible! Relocation bonuses can be allocated to those willing to move from out-of-state. This project is funded for and will run for approximately 24 months, with an eye to continue on to even bigger and better beyond that!
