Social Media Executives at Social Chain are responsible for supporting the Community Managers and broader team. They will be assisting in planning, implementing, managing and monitoring the online and social media strategy for our key brands to increase awareness and develop engaged communities. We also offer a flexible working location.

Main Objectives for the Year

Make your brand famous:

Working with each of the two Community Managers within the team, the Social Media Executive will be implementing the brands social media strategy for one of Social Chain Media’s biggest communities to cement the brands as industry leaders

Measured by:

  • Consistent output across various channels for both brands
  • Nurturing and increasing reach of our up-and-coming brands

Be a team player:

Whilst this isn’t a management position, you will be expected to ‘manage up’ and support the team on social media content production, publishing and measurement, ensuring KPIs are regularly reported on

Measured by:

Team happiness, efficiency and standards upheld

Be first:

You will be plugged into the industry social, video and publishing trends and relay updates across the team, moving fast onto emerging platforms and trends

Measured by:

Regular proactive pitching of new trend & growth opportunities

Subtasks

Make your brand famous:

  • Successfully implement and adhere to social strategy for your brand, upholding high standards across all platforms
  • Attend brainstorms to ensure brand fit of new content proposals
  • Proactively optimise everything you do across mid-roll, editorial and ecommerce to contribute to the commercial success of your brand
  • Know your data: keep analysing successes to pinpoint exactly what works for your brand

Be a team player:

  • Share successes (and failures) with the gaming team and Social Chain family to ensure we all learn and celebrate together
  • Regularly attend team meetings to give and receive feedback across the team, ensuring actions and notes are shared
  • Support the wider gaming team with day-to-day work across the portfolio
  • Communicate well with the licensing team to ensure sourcing targets are met each week

Be first:

  • Stay up to date with latest social media best practices, technologies, innovations and competitors to share with the team and implement as appropriate
  • Be an active participant within the gaming and entertainment communities at large to ensure an understanding of the ever-changing landscape

Essential Skills:

A keen interest in mainstream gaming, esports, competitive gaming, streaming and gaming culture. An understanding of different social platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram) and the types of content (e.g. images / video). Proactivity and attention to detail. Organised and can work to a deadline Basic knowledge of excel and other Microsoft programs
