Mayamada is a creative manga brand featured in NEO Magazine, Mashable, Bleeding Cool and the BBC among others. We have exhibited at comic conventions across the UK and internationally.

GamePad Online is a new virtual gaming event bringing communities together to celebrate the culture we all love, from the comfort of home. The event combines video games, cosplay and interviews from the industry for an online watch party for all ages.

Responsibilities include supporting the creation and execution of a mayamada digital marketing strategy. You will recognise and respond to business opportunities and customer requirements through a range of digital channels that include social media, websites, email and Discord.

You will actively employ content marketing and campaign management principles to deliver successful initiatives that meet the needs and aspirations of the organisation.

Working to company briefs, you will research, prepare and develop media messaging to maximise audience engagement, capturing the strategy and objectives of the brand and needs of our community we are representing.

You will have to capture what is exciting about a campaign and utilise the elements for use across our media platforms and channels. As part of the internship, you will be working with the mayamada team, in particular co-founder Nigel Twumasi, Tazziii and the GamePad team.

We are looking for interns with a positive and proactive approach to their work. Ideally, you will have an interest in anime, manga, comics, video games or Japanese culture.

As a small company, being able to contribute to a team is vital as well as pursuing learning to gain skills that help the brand in addition to you as an individual.
