AT 3FINERY LTD we are looking for a Junior Digital Artist to join our rapidly growing team. The candidate will work remotely in a dynamic team across various emerging technologies to develop 3D assets, user interfaces and enhance user experiences for outstanding cutting-edge products.
The successful applicant will be a junior employee in a small-sized start-up with high-growth potential arising from a 5-year EU project which has now been backed by Innovate UK. The employee will be given direction and autonomy to design solutions creatively and follow through with implementation while collaborating closely with others while becoming proficient in 3D modelling, animation, and user experiences techniques applied to computer graphics and Augmented Reality (AR).
In this job, the employee will design, prototype, model, and animate 3D assets for proprietary mobile apps. The right candidate will learn optimization of run-time performance animated 3D assets on mobile deployed apps and will assist the programming team with implementing art-related tools and features. Further, the employee will take part in implementing in-house and outsourced art assets.
The candidate is either educated to degree level in a digital art-related subject and/or has a strong portfolio demonstrating high digital artistic skills.
An excellent understanding of 3D hierarchical structures and transformation concepts is key. Experience with 3D Max, Maya, or equivalent 3D packages is required, a good understanding of game state flow and logic would be beneficial. Excellent communication skills and a results-oriented attitude are key.
This position is home-based, and the chosen candidate will be provided with a virtual work environment in which progress meetings are held periodically via videoconference. Progress tracking is done with daily interaction through a work messaging app and tasks are tracked online through an agile-oriented platform.
