We run games recruitment events under the banner Games Jobs Live, which this position will be primarily focused on supporting.

You will write articles, courses, and books about getting into and working in the games industry. You will be working from, and building on, stories and advice conveyed by dozens of industry veterans and recruiters, extrapolating points where appropriate, and drilling down on trends you see that are raised repeatedly.

You will also help promote our events and initiatives, gaining an understanding of effective social media techniques.

You will work remotely, with flexibility to set your own hours, and expected to join regular team meetings via video conferencing.

Essential skills & experience:

  • You will have a portfolio of works you have written in the past. You will be capable of writing factually and engagingly for a broad and diverse audience that have a range of understanding of the subject matter.
  • You will have a good understanding of the UK’s games industry, and the game development process, and a passion for game development.
  • You will have good communication skills, work well as part of a larger team, and be self-organising and reliable.

Kickstart is a Government scheme aimed to help support young people back into work after the economic effects of the pandemic.

The Job Placements are only available for Universal Credit claimants aged 16 to 24 and out of education who are referred to employers by their respective Work Coaches.
