At DREST you will join a team that’s creating a game-changing interactive fashion technology platform. We are combining state of the art technology with a luxury fashion styling experience plus real-time content at its core. As the Engineer Intern you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of game development and most importantly be a core part of making it a reality. You will be mentored by our Lead Unity Engineer and their team of engineers who will teach you the intricacies of mobile game development while enabling you to support them in the development of our game DREST.

You will take on a wide range of responsibilities, such as developing a Unity based 2D experience for both iOS and Android, building and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code. But also ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the game.

Ultimately you will assist in translating design specifications into a functional experience.

Essential Skills

We would look for you to have experience working with or training in computer science or game development.

If you have developed a game in Unity using C#, whether it was a personal or student project and have a passion for games. Most importantly, we would expect you to be eager to learn and ask questions in order to grow and support the development team. This is a role in which communication is critical as you will have to interact with many different members of the team.

Kickstart is a Government scheme aimed to help support young people back into work after the economic effects of the pandemic. The Job Placements are only available for Universal Credit claimants aged 16 to 24 and out of education who are referred to employers by their respective Work Coaches.
