Into Games
🇬🇧 Guildford

Supergonk is a small independent video game developer, specialising in building ambitious racing games with innovative new game mechanics and art styles. We've created titles on desktop, mobile and console platforms, most recently shipping Warp Drive on Apple Arcade. Right now, we're prototyping brand new game concepts, and have several exciting projects in development.

We’re seeking a passionate and motivated person who enjoys working as part of a small team and handling a varied mix of tasks every day, such as the following: short to medium term team production planning, milestones and stand-ups. Creating and maintaining documentation: game/tech design docs, pitch presentations for publishers/funders. Maintaining the build system, performing QA on daily builds, chasing and resolving build issues. Build submission: working with platform holders/portals to prepare technical aspects of shipping games. Community interaction: social media, external communication. Organising and running external playtest sessions with members of the public. Gathering feedback and reporting results to the team. Demoing our titles at trade shows or public events, interacting with members of the public.

As an important member of a small team you’ll get a lot of autonomy and responsibility, and the chance to work across several exciting areas/disciplines. The ideal candidate will be technically-minded, have good communication skills and be a natural problem solver. You’ll be mentored by and report directly to the company founder. We’re not expecting you to have experience in all of the above, and will train you in any areas you’re not confident in. What we are looking for is a passion for the job and motivation to learn.

Requirements

  • Excellent language and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and autonomous attitude to work, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Some demonstrable experience in product planning and production.
  • Understanding of technical aspects and ability to work with complex systems.

This role is an initial 6-month contract, with the potential to turn into full-time employment. The role will be based on-site at our studio on the Surrey Research Park in Guildford. This role is for an immediate start.

We're looking forward to hearing from you!
