Job Description:

Infinity Ward, developer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, is looking to hire a temporary UI Scripter.

As a member of the UI scripting team you will bridge the gap between UI design and UI engineering.

You will be responsible for converting design wireframes into maintainable, extensible script in our custom Lua-based UI engine. You will also be responsible for making prototype UI using our proprietary UI layout tool.

You will need enough fluency in C++ to read and debug native API and widget code.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design and maintain UI features.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with multiple teams across disciplines.
  • Work with QA to maintain bug free script.
  • Reliably write solid, extensible script.
  • Help UI design realize their vision.
  • Reliably estimate work scope and requirements.
  • Architect systems with an eye for the end user and future internal development.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in the games industry.
  • Experience with scripting languages. (Lua is a plus)
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field or equivalent.
  • Passion and experience with First Person Shooters.
  • An understanding of basic UI principles.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • C/C++ software engineering fundamentals.
