Position overview:

Reporting to the VP Marketing, the Communications Manager will work within the marketing department alongside the Editor and will be responsible for planning, managing and executing all major communications outwardly and internally for all projects under the Infinite Esports & Entertainment umbrella. Strong connections with endemic esports or sports press and perfect written communication skills are essential for this position.

First and foremost this person must have a deep understanding of press processes and community opinion. They must possess flawless written and verbal communication skills and a good understanding of how news is perceived in an internet millennial culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and plan all press announcements with the support of the PR agency

  • Write and prepare all press announcements with Editor

  • Coordinate press release timeframes and communicate it among connected parties

  • Coordinate any public crisis management alongside the social media team

  • Champion the creation of internal and external newsletters

  • Coordinate website articles and news posts

  • Manage press and media at live events and parties

  • Build strong connective feedback networks with media

  • Provide advice on communication of important changes

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience managing press and media in either the gaming or sports industry

  • Experience dealing with online communication channels such as Reddit and YouTube

  • Strong understanding of communication from a “Team” the fanbase

  • Detail focused organisational skills when managing guest lists and invites

  • Experience working with large business and good understanding of internal communication challenges

  • Perfect written and verbal communication

  • Ability to travel regularly within the United States and internationally

  • Willingness to work long hours and within a highly target driven environment

  • Extensive working industry connections with press and media outlets

  • In depth understanding of esports, gaming nerd culture and sports

  • Must possess a valid US Visa or be an American citizen

Start Date & Details:

This position will start as soon as possible. Initial work can be done remotely but it is expected that any successful applicant will move to the company HQ in Texas within 1 month of the start date.
