JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior .NET Core Developer

Redwood City, CA

As a Senior .NET Core Developer, you'll be building the systems that power IMVU. You will join the Services team, the "front-line" backend engineers that enable our acclaimed client apps. .NET Core is the backbone of our most demanding, sophisticated features. You'll build performant solutions on a flexible and creative new platform, delivering data-rich social features that will continue to "wow" our users.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop client-facing application projects in .NET Core 5.0 (C#).
  • Spearhead .NET application infrastructure projects.
  • Set teamwide best practices for .NET server-side development.
  • Work with a team of highly-motivated server and client engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • A firm grasp of Computer Science fundamentals including object oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
  • 5+ years of .NET server-side development experience.
  • 1+ years of .NET Core experience, using the C# language.
  • Extensive experience with and knowledge of client-server applications and RESTful APIs.
  • Proficient in data architecture: SQL databases, caching, sharding.
  • Developed server-side applications that operate at a global scale.

BONUS POINTS

  • Experience with Cassandra or distributed databases.
  • Knowledge of data pipelining and pub/sub architectures.
  • Working competency in PHP or other web scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of DevOps systems, CI/CD, deployment pipeline.
