Your Mission:

You will be an instrumental part of the engineering team responsible for build and version control for Improbables Global Games Studios

As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to work with the latest in local hardware and cloud solutions, including Dell Server Hardware, Google Cloud, Parsec Remote Hosting as well as Render Farms to help build the company version control and build systems. You will be able to work closely with our highly talented build teams to guide the infrastructure behind company-wide services.

Areas of Impact:

  • You will take ownership and accountability for the delivery velocity gains through the continual improvement of local IT and cloud infrastructure which directly supports our internal games studios.
  • You will have the opportunity to leverage the IT team to build and deploy build infrastructure such as high-speed storage and render farms to support all internal game studios and their build of a new generation of computer game.
  • You will be responsible for the migration of the existing Perforce estate into a newly architected system that you will take a lead on the build and design working alongside the engineering teams within our game studios.
  • You will be able to work with local systems administrators to help design and implement a cloud backup solution for our local version control and file storage systems within our game studios.
  • Opportunity to grow into a studio owner for all IT Corporate Infrastructure as a lead IT Systems Engineer. Or to follow one of our other tracks into Security or Build Engineering

We'd like to hear from you if you identify with the following:

  • You are passionate about the latest in server hardware technologies such as Dell Server Hardware, Nvidia Grid as well as Cloud and high-speed storage and always work to deliver the best performance and value in services
  • Has managed a Game Development Build Infrastructure system and familiar with a multitude of technologies (Bash, Python, Linux, Storage Solutions, Data backup software etc)
  • You have designed and implemented a multi-server Perforce estate or similar environment.
  • You design IT services within modern cloud methodologies, utilising cloud hosting like AWS/CGP moving local services to cloud-based services.
  • Enjoy driving technology projects across hardware and software, working closely with highly skilled engineers to design and self build services and systems
  • Have worked in source control systems and are comfortable in code review
