Your Mission

As the Corporate Development Manager you will be an individual contributor within the Finance & Strategy group empowered to work directly with our executives, finance team and leaders of the different business units and corporate functions to identify, plan and execute against opportunities to use the support of existing and new investors, as well as potential acquisitions to accelerate the company’s path to success.

You will be trusted to engage with current and prospective investors and to manage the processes for fundraising and M&A. You will also partner with other members of the Finance and Strategy team in providing business unit decision support in the form of analytical support, insight and consultation on key business decisions across business unit strategy, commercial deals and potential external partnerships.

The Strategy Team is lean, so in addition to your specific ownership areas you will be expected to work on a variety of topics, both strategic and operational (as necessary), and at times the team will come together to work on the same subject depending on bandwidth and business needs.

Areas for Impact:

  • In this role, you will have the opportunity to achieve significant impact on the business, as your activities directly affect the leadership’s decision-making, as well as the resources and capabilities that can be deployed in executing the company’s strategy, and thereby its path to success. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Partnering with the executive leadership and other members of the Finance & Strategy team to define the corporate development goals and strategy
  • Managing the relations with current investors, developing the cadence and content of engagement, building the relationships and identifying opportunities to leverage their support in pursuit of the company’s goals
  • Managing the process of fundraising and engagement with prospective investors, including the development of pitch materials and maintenance of data room
  • Manage the M&A process end-to-end, evaluating M&A priorities, analysing potential targets, managing the due diligence, building valuation models and executing the transactions
  • Provide decision support for our partnerships function
  • Partner with the business (including Engineering, Marketing and other teams) to prepare end-to-end business cases to greenlight new products or verticals
  • Perform scenario modelling to test different hypotheses as an input into strategy and as a basis for making recommendations. Contribute to the long-range planning, and assessment of build vs buy decisions.

We'd like to hear from you if you identify with the following:

  • A passion and enthusiasm for games and/or the gaming industry
  • Strong analytical skills and business/financial modelling (Experienced in Excel) in the context of companies with multiple business/product lines
  • Experience in fundraising (ideally on the investee side)
  • Track record of managing commercial and financial due diligence and building valuation models (with experience in business consulting and investment banking being an advantage)
  • Experience in M&A deal negotiation and post-deal integration a plus
  • Project management skills - tested by managing projects end-to-end (from conception through to implementation and post implementation assessment)
  • Lateral influencer with excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).
  • Able to present problems, fact-based assessments of their causes and solution plans in a clear and concise manner
