LA’s premier esports organization is looking for an experienced and passionate Video producer to create CS:GO instructional videos as part of the launch of a new esports training service. The role will require extensive CS:GO knowledge and a high level understanding of how players learn and improve. Previous experience competing at a medium to high level in CS:GO and/or coaching is a plus. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in fast-paced (e.g., start-up/rapid growth) environments, capable of wearing multiple hats, and inspired to build the best service for fans and the gaming community in general.

We are a tightly knit team that functions under the larger umbrella of Immortals, a global esports organization based in Los Angeles. Founded in 2015, Immortals raised strategic investment from AEG, Lionsgate, and other investors. Our teams play competitively in the biggest gaming competitions in Super Smash Bros, Overwatch, Dota 2, CS:GO, Arena of Valor, Clash Royale, and more. Our Ideal Candidate

  • 2+ years experience producing video tutorials or other forms of educational content
  • Verifiable experience as a former professional or semi-professional player/coach or demonstrated extensive CS:Go mastery
  • Ability to track current and upcoming competitive metas
  • Deep network in the Pro CS:GO ecosystem
  • Familiarity operating CS:GO/CS:GO Servers and basic recording programs (OBS, demo viewer)
  • Mastery of post production workflow: offload & ingest footage, project organization, prepping files, initial scene cutting
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment

Responsibilities:

  • Help define the overall direction of our content with a keen eye for current trends, aesthetics, and teaching techniques
  • Direct start to finish training video shoots with CS players and gather and direct “extras” needed for cutaway shots and other materials
  • Define the direction of individual map based content sets
  • Review draft renders of content and add polish and fine tuning as part of the post production process
  • Possibility of taking on more responsibility, like concepting and producing your own series of training, educational and other types of gaming related content
