We are seeking a Technical Artist to serve as both an advocate for the Art department as well as the bridge between Art, Game Design and Engineering. You will collaborate with the team to help enhance the visual quality of the game by creating art tools, advocating optimal art/engineering performance. You have a proven track record of developing the processes, tools and pipeline for our games. As a Technical Artist you will push the boundaries of what is possible in Unity and AR alike.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with artists, designers and engineers to build features and solve creative and technical problems
  • Manage, integrate, and optimize art assets to run efficiently on mobile platformsMaintain and improve efficiency of the existing asset pipeline and workflows
  • Support the art team by developing tools and processes to ensure their vision is realized
  • Set up animation controllers, state machines, triggers, events and timeline sequences

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in the game industry
  • Solid understanding of Unity’s asset workflow
  • Experience with Unity’s Mecanim and animation tools
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Maya and Unity3D
  • Experience in programming languages such as Python and C#
  • High level of comfort and familiarity with Git
  • Basic knowledge of rigging

Pluses

  • Experience with realtime VFX optimized for mobile devices
  • Experience writing shaders and/or creating shaders with Amplify Shader Editor
  • AR game development experience
