Accountant or Financial Analyst, IGN

Ziff Davis, LLC, is seeking an Accountant or Financial Analyst for IGN within its Gaming industry vertical, which includes both IGN Entertainment and Humble Bundle. This position will serve IGN with a focus on budget and expense management. The role centralizes expense management under a single point person for this business unit. This is a great opportunity for a candidate with an Accounting or FP&A background to positively impact IGN’s operational efficiency and our financial position. The role is highly visible within the business unit and interacts with all levels of personnel and management.

Responsibilities
- Lead monthly spending reviews including budget variance analysis with business leadership.
- Support the annual budgeting process for IGN and specific departments within the BU.
- Establish strong relationships across the business unit’s departments and assist operators in managing their vendor creation processes, purchase requests, purchase orders, invoice submissions and approval queues.
- Develop an understanding of the vendors used by the business unit, related agreements and payment terms to support budgeting and forecasting, monthly accrued expense estimation, and cash flow requirements.
- Assist in all financial planning including delivering annual budgets and monthly forecasts
- Work with your counterpart in other business units across the company to ensure that shared vendor relationships are allocated properly and flow through the proper approval workflows.
- Face of the Business Unit for our vendor population. Develop relationships that promote a high degree of trust and accountability between the business unit and the vendor.
- Participate in ad-hoc financial and operational analyses to inform strategy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Sciences.
- 1-3 years of experience in FP&A and/or Accounting.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with financial modelling a plus.
- Proficiency with SAP Concur, Nexonia and NetSuite or similar experience with the vendors and payments modules of large complex enterprise wide ERP systems.
- Attention to detail is critical as deliverables will often be presented to senior management where accuracy is essential
- Strong presentation skills as the candidate will be required to communicate complex information in a simplified manner
- Able to work comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

- Be comfortable working late, nights and weekends when required and be able to manage one’s time. Some travel required.
- Become a trusted partner to the General Managers, finance reps and businesses to ensure that forecasts, pacing’s, and analyses most accurately reflect the business.
- Have an active interest in the industry, competition, and market.
