The Houston Outlaws are seeking a seasoned Marketing Director that will collaborate with the COO, Executive Director of Sales & Global Partnerships, Creative Director and Operations Director to conceive of and execute on the the marketing strategy for the Outlaws brand in an effort to grow our sponsorships, fanbase, and partnerships with the Houston HMA.

  • We are seeking a highly creative and collaborative individual able to ideate and to tap into all of our resources to ensure that our winning ideas translate to revenue, meet deadlines and deliver sponsor and fan affinity.
  • Success will be achieved with oversight of:
  • A highly-honed, strategically developed and managed marketing plan and content/events calendar
  • Adherence to a Brand style guide and vocabulary. This will ensure that the agreed upon brand voice and visuals are consistent and incorporated into all that we do while invoking passion, emotion and participation for the Outlaws brand.
  • The development and marketing of our 2021 Signature Programs and customized sponsorship packages —from sweepstakes, social posts, content, events, merchandise reveals, ticket sales, client activations, press efforts, newsletters, etc.
  • Sales presentations, decks, ideations and executions to build the Outlaws sponsorship base. This mandates a tremendous attention to detail and an ability to conceive of programs in their entirety while assuming a large degree of responsibility for concept development, execution, and design aesthetics in tandem with the Creative Director and Designer. Our primary focus is on:
    • Events that are "better-than-live” experiences (if COVID continues) with themes, logistics, design, execution that will deliver for the brand, sponsors and fans
    • Collaborations with other senior stakeholders and team members to ensure team alignment on all assets
    • Major ideation and collaboration with Creative Director for all things creative
    • Help manage the licensing and merchandise development arm of our business
    • Oversee the Social Media Manager to ensure that we deliver audience growth, retention and engagement for our (6) social channels
  • Ideal candidate will have experience managing a team
  • This role demands a project management and deadline-centric executive— able to own their job, meet deadlines and quickly translate client briefings into business-winning sales decks and solutions.
  • Requires a excellent copywriter, ideator/storyteller with an ability to put together together impactful and visually arresting decks—for sponsorship opportunities and partnership recaps
  • An aptitude for social media and a disciplined and analytical approach tracking our social/audience metrics so that they can be leveraged with potential sponsors, shareholders, BMG or the press at any given time
  • Is able to serve as a brand ambassador, has a winning personality and is able help foster introductions and strategic partnerships in the greater Houston HMA—within the education (Middle-High School, College), and Stem space, other pro sports teams, political stakeholders and market leaders
  • Experience in traditional pro sports marketing and events a must with some history with esports/video gaming
  • Ideally, this role will be based in Houston
