• Proficient in writing engaging, clean content, including news and analysis
• Understand that context matters
• Proficient in at least two esports titles (Dota 2, Overwatch, FGC, Smash, PUBG, Call of Duty, Rainbow Six, Fortnite)
• A gamer and esports fan just like us
• Able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining open line of communication with editor
• Pitch news and feature content on a regular basis
• Cover breaking esports news in a timely manner
• Write in-depth feature pieces
• Remain up-to-date with current esports news of your given esports vertical
• Able to cover tournament recaps, player interviews, evergreen content
• Able to reference and integrate multimedia sources into articles such as tweets, videos, and highlights from Twitch streams.
