3D Modeler (6-month term)

We are looking for a 3D Modeler for a 6-month contract, who will collaborate with the team to support our creative vision. An artist with a broad skillset who will produce wide ranging assets from characters to props through all phases of development: design / concept, sculpting / modeling, and surfacing.

Please Note: While we fully support remote employment, for this phase of our project we can only consider applicants legally eligible to work in Canada (Citizen or Permanent Resident).

What you’ll be doing

  • Concept, model, and texture 3D assets.
  • Create high quality textures and materials.
  • Partner with the Art Director to deliver artistic vision for the game.
  • Collaborate with the technical artist and engineers to develop effective assets that work in the production pipeline.

Qualifications We Are Looking For

  • 4+ years professional experience concepting, modeling, and texturing characters using Maya, Zbrush, and Photoshop (or equivalent 3D and 2D programs).
  • A passion for creature design, and a keen eye for form, shape, structure, silhouette, and movement when developing characters.
  • An ability to collaborate with the team and contribute to early exploration of creative techniques and production methods.
  • Ability to work in a High to Low poly workflow.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Unity3D and the Unity asset pipeline.
  • Experience animating.
  • Experience developing shaders.
  • Experience using version control software
