THIS ROLE WILL CLOSE ON THURSDAY 7 MARCH AT 6PM GMT (1PM EST)

HitmarkerJobs.com is on the hunt for a Weekend Content Coordinator to manage the platform, provide user support and run its social media accounts on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Weekend Content Coordinator will be responsible for finding and adding new jobs to the website, dealing with user enquiries on email, live chat and social media and promoting jobs and engaging with people on Twitter.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about esports and would consider themselves to be dedicated, honest and reliable. There is no experience requirement, but common sense, organizational ability and strong written skills are a must.

This is a freelance paid position for an independent contractor and will be for a maximum of 14 hours each weekend. The hourly rate will depend upon experience but will be equal to or above the minimum wage in the successful candidate’s home country or state.

YOU WILL:

  • Check and edit, then either approve or reject, any new company and job submissions in the Craft (content management system) back-end of the HitmarkerJobs.com website.
  • Source new esports jobs from other jobs platforms and transfer them to ours, ensuring that the visual formatting of each one is impeccable.
  • Respond to user queries on Drift (live chat), email and social media in a timely and professional manner.
  • Use Buffer (social media management platform) to schedule high-quality promotional Tweets for each hour, both for new and existing jobs.
  • Be unafraid to ask questions if you’re ever unsure about anything and eventually be able to leave everything in an idyllic state for us to pick up on Monday morning.

YOU ARE:

  • An esports aficionado and ideally someone very familiar with everything we do and everything we stand for at Hitmarker. You love this industry and understand the responsibility managing operations for us brings, even on the weekends.
  • Very familiar with technology and an avid user of social media - particularly Twitter. You’re going to need to get to grips with Buffer, Craft and Drift pretty quickly if you don’t have any experience of using them already.
  • Personable, quick-thinking and highly skilled with a keyboard. It would be great if you have a really keen eye for detail, are a self-confessed perfectionist and consider yourself to have excellent time management, organizational and writing skills.
  • Someone who would consider themselves to be dedicated, honest and reliable. You maintain high standards, accurately track the time you work and log on around the same time every Saturday and Sunday to ensure our users wake up to new jobs.
  • Incredibly trustworthy. This role will give you access to the Craft back-end of HitmarkerJobs.com, our email account, Buffer account AND Twitter account. You will be expected to protect these credentials with every fiber of your being.

YOU HAVE:

  • The legal ability to work as an independent contractor and the capacity to submit invoices to us as your client on the last working day of each month.
  • The availability to work on Saturdays and Sundays, preferably between the times of 10am and 5pm GMT (though this isn’t a deal breaker!)
  • Access to high-speed internet, your own desktop or laptop computer and ideally at least one extra screen (it makes life a LOT easier, trust us!)

YOU SHOULD:

Apply with (1) a UNIQUE version of your cover letter and (2) the latest version of your CV/resume.

Struggling for cover letter inspiration? Don’t worry, just tell us how long you’ve been using Hitmarker for, why you like it, and why you’d be a great fit for the team! You can even tell us something you’d improve about our platform or service (if you’re feeling brave!)

Remember, we see hundreds of cover letters and CV/resumes every week and we can spot a copy and paste (or a fake) a mile away! Please don’t cut any corners, because we WILL pull you up on it.

WE WILL:

  • Reply to all of you who apply within two weeks, whether you are successful or not.
  • Invite those who impress us to a one-on-two Discord interview with Cam and Rich.
  • Make our decision after the interviews and give detailed feedback to all who partake.
  • Welcome one lucky soul amongst you to our team, ideally before the end of March.
  • Provide full training to the winning candidate so that you can hit the ground running.
  • Endeavour to make you a full-time member of the staff if you come in and smash it.

Like the sound of this? Well, what are you waiting for? It’s time to #MakeYourMark.
