High Voltage Software is a world-class, award-winning game developer with over 25 years’ experience. From first-person shooters to collectible card games to platformers- if you can dream it, we can make it.

High Voltage prides itself on creating high-quality interactive content and crafting immersive experiences that take players to unimaginable worlds. Creating these worlds requires a massive amount of talent from design, art, audio, and engineering. Everyone at High Voltage is a contributor and collaborator.

Combining outside the box problem solving with an efficient and proven production process, our diverse workplace culture allows us to create unique and rich experiences for players all over the globe.

We are currently looking to add experienced Gameplay Programmers to join our growing Engineering team. Based out our awesome New Orleans office a mere stones throw from the city's famed French Quarter, you will use your amazing C++ skills to play a critical role in driving future gameplay features for a wide variety of games and clients - from indie to AAA!

We believe that the best gameplay experiences are driven by collaboration and iteration between gameplay programmers, designers, and artists. As an experienced programmer, you will design new features, implement them within schedule, and fix bugs with minimal weekly direction from your team lead.

Some of the cool stuff you'll be doing:

  • Work closely with art and design to create and iterate on gameplay features
  • Use rapid prototyping while ensuring that strong architectural and algorithmic decisions are made
  • Be willing to accept and respond to critical feedback
  • Support technical excellence of our games on multiple platforms
  • Improve existing gameplay systems
  • Contribute ideas toward all aspects of the game’s production and development
  • Write robust, maintainable code

  • Experience working on a live service game
