Hi-Rez Studios is immediately hiring an experienced Release Manager to work on Rogue Company at our studio in Alpharetta, Georgia.

The Release Manager is responsible for ensuring Rogue Company is delivered on time and with quality. They must collect, prioritize, and track all issues that would impact the ability to go live with a game update. It will be necessary to coordinate across multiple development teams in order to resolve issues and coordinate the live update.

What our Producer - Release Managers do:

  • Work with multiple game teams, closely coordinating with Publishing leadership to drive the build and distribution of various types of releases.
  • Align with Engineering Leadership on a cohesive build pipeline and build/asset delivery strategy
  • Enforce branching and versioning strategy across multiple titles and a shared platform
  • Coordinate with Engineering Leadership per-project to route and efficiently leverage multiple development environments
  • Manage the release of all products across all supported platforms
  • Provide updates and visibility on the release status to the leadership team and fellow producers
  • Ensure the game is being tested in full for compliance and hitting the quality targets leading up to the release
  • Connect development and operations teams to quickly drive decisions.
  • Work with Production to manage the tracking and communication for all phases of a release.
  • Be comfortable in both roles of implementation oversight as well as hands-on engineering

Who we are looking for:

  • At least 4 years as a release manager where you have shipped at least one game within a development studio
  • Experience overseeing the end-to-end life-cycle of game development and are comfortable managing multiple simultaneous projects
  • Success developing productive working relationships with team members, colleagues and external partners
  • Experience managing the release management and launch of games across Steam, Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo
  • Experience with project tracking software (JIRA and Perforce)
  • Explicit experience in submitting build packages to 1st parties
  • Knowledge with project tracking software (JIRA and Perforce)
  • Ability to effectively present and share information across a wide array of disciplines, technical expertise and senior members of the organization.
  • Able to develop productive working relationships with team members, colleagues and external partners

Preferred candidates have:

  • Experience with console developer portals, SDKs and tools.
  • Familiarity with TRC and XR guidelines.
