As the Director of Digital Marketing and Community Management, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing a passionate community of gamers, both in-store and digitally. You are someone who is one-step ahead of current esports news and trends, keeping an eye out for creative ways to engage with Helix’s audience and engage deeply with our community. You are a creative, overachiever who wants to continue to grow Helix’s social presence, which has one of the largest social presences of any esports entertainment centers in the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the social media accounts for Helix North Bergen (NJ), Helix Patriot Place (MA), Helix Lakewood (NJ) and our associated VR and Food (Bytes) concepts including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Discord, TikTok, YouTube and Twitch
  • Build, execute and maintain engagement strategies and marketing campaigns on key platforms to build awareness and drive traffic for Helix eSports centers and affiliated companies
  • Analyze all social media data and adjust content to ensure maximum engagement. If content is not performing well, craft strategy to garner the highest engagement possible
  • Develop copy for creative deliverables, including but not limited to – social media posts, digital, social, and print advertising
  • Create digital assets for social media, including but not limited to – tournament announcements, special events, event recaps, advertisements
  • Engage and understand our constituent communities: players, parents, third party tournament organizers and professional esports organizations
  • Analyze key community engagement performance metrics (e.g. reach, engagement and sentiment). Take a solutions-based approach to monthly metrics in order to exceed company goals
  • As part senior member of Team Helix we expect our teammates to assist with large events and groups including but not limited to – helping with tournament scorekeeping, stepping in to help the front desk, maintaining the cleanliness and order of the center, and technical issues with equipment

Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ years social media management experience
  • Knowledge of the esports industry and competitive gaming (Fortnite, Valorant, COD, Rocket League, Smash, FGC and others). Being in the know of what is happening in gaming should be a natural thing you already do.
  • Ability to design, implement and analyze paid and organic marketing campaigns across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Twitch
  • Strong knowledge and skills in Photoshop and Video Editing Software (Adobe Photoshop and Premiere)
  • Sense of humor and a customer-centric mentality
  • Excellent proofreading and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask across different projects and platforms, including projects split between both Helix locations.
  • Self-starter who is excited to own the digital and creative vision of Helix eSports
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines at times
  • Ability to travel when need be to other Helix eSports centers
  • Ability to work some weekends and industry hours

Preferred Skills:

  • Graphic design experience, including Adobe Photoshop
  • Photography/videography skills
  • Paid media and advertising experience (Facebook and Instagram focus)
  • Experience managing communities of 10,000+ users
  • Experience moderating livestreams on Twitch
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
