Quality Assurance Tester - Project-Based (Temp) Position

Harmonix is actively seeking enthusiastic testers who thrive in dynamic environments, who are passionate about music and games, and possess a strong eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Test pre-release versions of one of our forthcoming Harmonix titles from development through launch.
  • Quickly, clearly, and concisely identify and report issues found during testing.
  • Develop, write, and run test cases for projects in active development.
  • Work independently and as a part of the development team to execute the testing strategy for the project.
  • Provide thoughtful, professional written and verbal feedback on gameplay related issues.

Qualifications

  • Passion for games (especially music/rhythm games), video game audiences, and the game development process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivation to drive for quality in both product and process.
  • Ability to multitask while being flexible to changing priorities.
  • Capable of adapting to and understanding new systems quickly during development.

Additional Preferred Experience

  • Previous game QA positions, specifically mobile, PC, console and/or VR platforms.
  • Writing technical documentation and/or test documentation.
  • Confluence/Jira experience or comparable bug tracking and information logging software.
  • TestRail experience or comparable test case management software.
  • Game certification standards and best testing practices.
  • Operating in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience in using various audio hardware and software configurations.
  • Network testing and troubleshooting.
