Description

As a Web Engineer on the Advertising Applications team at GumGum, you’ll build and maintain a variety of web applications used by both internal and external users. You’ll have a real impact as you work on apps used every day across our company, and you’ll be part of a team that prioritizes skill sharing and learning. Our team currently uses technologies such as ES6, React, Node.js, Sequelize, Flux/Redux, Yarn, and Webpack.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain new features and improvements for a variety of React web applications, including connecting to external APIs
Develop backend functionality with Node.js, including extending and maintaining APIs built with Sequelize
Create new web applications from the ground up as needed
Implement tests and ensure proper functionality and graceful degradation on multiple browsers
Troubleshoot user reported issues from the team’s applications
Collaborate with a variety of teams including Data Engineering, DevOps, Product and Product Design

Minimum Qualifications

Core understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
2+ years experience with React, Flux or Redux
Use of Git and command-line tools
Comfortable using browser developer tools and build tools such as Webpack
Understanding of responsive design concepts and cross-browser compatibility
A history of successfully shipping products into production
Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams
