Summary

This role will work on a wide variety of design projects and be comfortable working closely with other departments on multiple projects. The designer will translate brand objectives into compelling deliverables across a broad range of platforms including print collateral, interactive layouts for online experiences, branding for regional events and internal support for the People Ops team.

This person will also join forces with the creative team by collaboration, bringing in next-level ideas to brainstorms, finding solutions to produce compelling campaigns. The role will also need to work autonomously on creative execution without consistent oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Create kick-ass designs - across interactive and print media that align with our brand
  • Develop inspiration and trend boards - while collaborating closely with the creative team
  • Dynamically Prioritize and Manage Projects End-to-End - Including managing workload effectively to meet organization deadlines and regularly communicating with stakeholders (internal and external) to manage expectations.
  • Drive and define graphic concepts - from early stage to final design with onbrand, trend inspired and iconic designs
  • Creative Ideation - Doodling and going on coffee walks to feed your imagination. Coming up with new ideas and ways for our designs to stand out
  • Communicating with senior team members to manage expectations and respond to feedback
  • Building and providing assets for other creative team members. Management of Creative assets for company wide GumStore
  • Supporting the broader creative team throughout the execution

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in design at an agency or tech company
  • Active experience designing for both print and digital
  • Motion graphics and/or video experience is a plus
  • Experience with an online marketing tool, such as vuture, mailchimp, or constant contact is a plus
  • Excellent design skills and demonstrated ability to structure large amounts of complex information in both digital and print media that is clear and visually compelling
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills. Able to lead projects from concept to completion with little supervision.
  • Ability to ensure consistency with the firm's brand identity, and maintain graphic standards in collateral across all platforms-print and digital
  • Good organizational skills that support the rest of the team
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign & After Effects) and Squarespace
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office PowerPoint and Word and G-suite equivalents

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in design with a strong portfolio demonstrating graphic/brand design
