We are looking for someone senior who is not only driven and ambitious but also creative and strives for the best in all that s/he does. The Senior Social Media Manager will own and drive forward Guild’s social media channels, owning the strategy and execution on core channels.

This role is not an entry level position and requires working unsociable hours including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications and Experience required

  • Minimum of undergraduate degree in Media
  • At least 3 years PQE in a Social Media related role
  • Must have experience in leading and managing a medium-large media team
  • Must be organised and able to handle stressful situations calmly, professionally and have a good control on personal emotions when responding to the public or stakeholders
  • Available to work unsociable hours including evenings and weekends
  • Excellent writing skills is compulsory
  • Have a good knowledge of online gaming and the fanbase associated to the industry
  • Have a creative, fun and positive mindset and able to think outside the box
  • Have good knowledge of Marketing needs when managing the Social Media accounts including advertising and promoting Guild products

Let’s have a look at what your key responsibilities will be.

  • Develop and drive Guild’s social media strategy and tone of voice across all channels.
  • Able to run company brainstorms and expected to use insights and general knowledge to suggest innovative approaches to client campaigns and communication challenge.
  • Has well-rounded communication skills and can adapt approach as appropriate when communicating to team members / clients / new business prospects.
  • able to map out own personal development goals to proactively suggest ways to meet these goals.
  • Can manage day to day deadlines and plan for longer term deadlines, keeping on top of account time and diary management effectively.
  • Own the day-to-day management of Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Working alongside the Head of Marketing and Creative Director to implement and execute marketing plans across social, aligning to the tone of voice and predefined content plans.
  • Create and ideate on new social content, striving to be innovative, drive the brand channels forward to grow and nurture the Guild community.
  • Work with other company social channels, including TikTok, YouTube Guild Academy, Discord etc to align on strategies and support with the day to day running.
  • Develop and present monthly social media reports, showcasing trends, growth, and content performance.
  • Constantly evaluate new platforms and spin out accounts for growth across Guild’s social.
  • Work alongside the wider Partnerships team to ensure brands are integrated and fully activated across social.
  • Manage the wider social media team.
