The opportunity
Guild’s Creative Team is looking for a new Junior Creative! We are searching for an extraordinary designer to work directly with the creative team. The Junior Creative will create original designs in response to briefs, work swiftly and efficiently in a support role, and approach learning new skills with optimism and openness. This role communicates original ideas effectively and clearly through design and drives these ideas forward within the wider Guild business.
This role is an opportunity to learn from creative experts in the esports and gaming industries, whilst helping to build a unique world-class brand. The Junior Creative must be open-minded and willing to expand their skills, with the support of Senior Creatives.
What you’ll do
Develop engaging and impactful designs for digital usage
Work with and develop design templates in-line with Guild’s brand guidelines
Create presentation decks
Develop social media assets
Collaborate with the wider organisation to ensure projects meet deadlines
Develop assets for partners and external stakeholders, as required
Ensure all designs are in-line with Guild’s brand guidelines
Generate new content ideas with the wider creative team
Work weekend hours, if required. (Guild has a TOIL policy which is followed for such occasions)
All staff are responsible for the wellbeing and safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults on all Guild sites
Complete additional duties as may be required
What we look for
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, etc.)
Strong knowledge of typography, graphic and layout design
Figma experience desired but not essential
Basic 3D and motion graphics knowledge required
Experience working with Google slides and other layout & presentation software
Understanding of both technical and creative processes
Ability to make astute decisions and fulfil client requirements
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
A positive, enthusiastic attitude towards work
Proactive, self-starter, willing learner and a team player
Interest in gaming, traditional sports, entertainment and lifestyle brands is an asset
Fine-tuned time management and organisational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to effectively manage key working relationships
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to continuously develop professional skills
Ability to work in collaboration with the wider Creative and Production teams
